OUR VALUE STATEMENT

Bob Baker Marionette Theater sees the world as a Birthday Cake:
Baked with care,
Frosted with imagination and intent,
Served across generations as a sanctuary of sweet,
Sprinkled with a little stardust, a living theater of whipped cream over delight!

LAND ACKNOWLEDGEMENT

We acknowledge that Los Angeles sits on the land of the Gabrieleno/Tongva peoples. Bob Baker Marionette Theater acknowledges the Gabrieleno Tongva as the original caretakers of Tovangaar which spans LA County and the California Channel Islands. The Gabrieleno Tongva people continue to remain in relationships with these lands through ceremony, culture, and stewardship. They are important to the history of this area but also in the continuing knowledge of this place.

As we present our shows, we pay our respects to the Honuukvetam (Ancestors), ‘Ahiihirom (Elders) and ‘Eyoohiinkem (our relatives and relations) past, present, and emerging.

ANTI-RACISM & ANTI-DISCRIMINATION POLICY

The Bob Baker Marionette Theater aims to bring the joy and wonder of puppets to all audiences. To this end, we do not tolerate or condone racist, sexist, homophobic, or otherwise discriminatory behavior. The Theater reserves the right to remove guests exhibiting such behavior from the premises, at the discretion of our staff. In the event of removal for disruptive behavior, guests will not be eligible for a refund.
