This July 14th, join us for the world premiere of The Gatz Benny Show, with April Hava Shenkman, her husband Jared Whitham, and son GATSBY, alongside the Bob Baker Marionettes and special guest acts each show! Bringing a new twist to the classic variety show, it’s fun for the whole family—imagine I Love Lucy inside of Pee-Wee’s Playhouse. The Whitham family invites some of their favorite performers and puppets to join them on stage. July’s event features special guests legendary musician Hap Palmer, the brilliant and wacky Michael Rayner, and the talented tap dancing Mila Molinari!
Sharing the shenanigans of parenthood & childhood though comedy, music, magic, puppets, and clowns! You’re invited to an entrancing playdate at the Bob Baker Marionette Theater you’ll never forget!
About Hap Palmer
Hap Palmer is an innovator in the use of music and movement to teach skills and encourage the use of imagination. His recordings and videos have received numerous honors including the Parent’s Choice Award and the National Parenting Publications Award.
About Michael Rayner
Michael Rayner has been creating surprising and energetic performances for decades. Michael’s show has been described as “preposterous brilliance” and “wacky jugglement,” a combination of hilarious tricks and stunts with uproarious stand-up.
About Mila Molinari
Mila Molinari’s artistry transforms stages into canvases of vivid imagination, captivating audiences worldwide. Mila Molinari is a Hollywood-based Brazilian/Italian Actress, Singer, Dancer, and Clown. The triple threat has been entertaining around the world for over 15 years.
Mila combines various different styles in her performances, including feather fan dance, swing & jazz age dances, singing, tap dance and comedy, all inspired by carefully crafted world of the glamorous Old Hollywood Musicals with elaborated choreography, lavish costumes and magnetic presence.
About April Hava Shenkman
April Hava Shenkman Is a local underground legend for her experimental comedy style. More recently she is known for her pregnant comedy special filmed at the Bob Baker Marionette Theater titled The Marvelous Mrs. Shenkman, on TubiTV. She’s excited to be back at Bob Baker with Jared & GATSBY, making his stage debut, by her side.
