About Doris Anahí
Doris Anahi has been around music her whole life. Whether it was singing with her family at church as a kid, or listening to the boleros and mariachis that inspired her grandparents' love, or sneaking out to punk rock shows during her high school years, music has always underscored important moments throughout Doris’ life. Becoming an artist manager after college, Doris championed the type of music that made her feel seen in her first-gen Latinx existence, and alongside her community she built musical worlds that simply didn't exist. Cultivating a fierce commitment to representation, especially one that reflected the truest parts of her artists and the world around her, Doris could no longer ignore the signs that lead her to write and release her own music.
About Emma Platais
Emma Platais grew up in the U.S., Central America and Brazil inspiring her to write poems and songs in a mix of Spanish, English and Portuguese. The classics of bossa nova and American folk have profoundly influenced her writing style, and her latest EP, “Profundezas” pays tribute to her ancestral lineage, the energies that guide us back home and the creative journey of discovering ones voice.
In 2022, Platais made the leap to pursue her artistic career in Mexico City. Since her move, she has worked and collaborated with artists such as Loli Molina, Hernan Hecht, David Aguilar, Ulises Hadjis and Patrick Watson. In 2024 she will be releasing a new EP and is currently working on projects with fellow independent artists Luz Elena (fromY La Bamba), Rulo, Madame Récamier and Pedro Fonte.
