Tweens Jodie, Hazel, and Alice like to shoot paintballs, tearing it up on dirt bikes, and inflict chaos on their tiny mountain town in Riddle of Fire (2024), the critically-acclaimed movie AnOther Magazine called "the coolest debut from Cannes."
After stealing a video game console, they are confronted with an unexpected dilemma: TV parental controls. Jodie and Hazel's mother holds the password and in an attempt to get the children to play outside, she requires one blueberry pie in exchange for unlocking the TV. The children set out on their dirtbikes for a larger-than-life adventure filled with witches, fairies, and blue speckled eggs.
Riddle of Fire is a RPG-fantasy-style coming of age story that forges its own alluring, exciting, idiosyncratic, and playful neo-fairytale style. Beautifully shot on 16mm by Weston Razooli in his feature film debut, this stylish adventure is perfect for older kids and families!
